What I'm up to this summer: shows, events and more!

JULY 2019 -- It's been a delightful summer so far here in northern

New Hampshire. We've had a long hot spell with some lovely hiking weather and even spells of rain to keep the plants watered.

I've been working away in my studio, painting up a storm of watercolors and especially smaller oil paintings, in preparation for a couple of exciting shows coming up in August.

To start things off, I will be having my first solo gallery show at The Gallery at WREN (the Women's Rural Entrepreneurial Network) here in Bethlehem, opening on August 2nd and on display for the entire month! The evening opening coincides with Bethlehem's First Friday for the month of August in which local business and art spots fling their doors wide, host live music, introduce new art exhibits, and put on other fun events. I hope you can make it to the opening and put some red dots of all of my recent paintings.

The VERY NEXT DAY is the Day One of the Mount Washington Valley Arts Association's Art in the Park down at Schouler Park, in North Conway right in front of the Conway Scenic Railroad station! I'll be setting up a booth of all the work from my studio that isn't at WREN, plus prints and greeting cards for two full days of art shopping delight. It promises to be a wonderful event full of food, music and extreme amounts of artistic talent from all around the North Country. Stop by and say hello August 3rd or 4th from 10am until 4pm both days.

The following weekend I'm back in the home neighborhood of Bethlehem, NH for our town's quirky and unique SummerFest happening all day on  Saturday, August 10th. One part Old Home Day, one part Art Walk, this is an all-village shindig not to be missed. Your day could include an arts, crafts and food vendor stroll along Main Street, a stop at one of our local eateries, and front row seats to the fantastic parade that comes through mid-day. Wrap it all up with the community's bean hole supper at the end of the day. I'll have a tent up along Main Street where you can see what's happening in my home art studio. Small town New England celebrating at its best.

I hope to meet you at one (or all!) of these events this August!
