"Autumn's Glow" is an 8 by 10 inch framed oil on panel painting. This is a simple tree sketch that I started outdoors in early autumn. The sun was beginning to get low and lighting up a copse of trees on a roadside. I quickly blocked in the light and dark areas before the light changed completely. Back in the studio I added details and highlights, thinking back to what would be one of the last lovely, warm days of summer as the season transitioned.
