"Carter-Moriah Trail," watercolor & ink on paper, 4.5x3"

Regular price $ 25.00 $ 0.00
North Carter Mountain, Carter Dome, Carter Notch - all are named for an early 19th century physician and botanist, Ezra Carter, who came to this wild place looking for medicinal herbs. Meanwhile, the name Mount Moriah is probably a biblical reference. The White Mountains are full of these strange pairings.
