I came upon this little, grassy spot, protected from the wind on the way down the Nelson Crag Trail on Mount Washington, New Hampshire. The afternoon sun was slanting strongly across the rocks and just lit up a bit of the soft grass and moss patch. It looked so inviting, had I needed a sheltered spot, but I had miles left to hike that day and could not linger.
