Snowshoeing and hiking in winter is hard work. Reaching the incredible world above treeline is far tougher than in the summer months. But an incredible, changed landscape awaits for those who dare to face the wind where there are no trees to block it. This is a snow-packed view across the flanks of Mount Adams toward Mount Jefferson at the far northern end of the Presidential Range in New Hampshire's White Mountains. I hope you can really feel the temperature of this scene. Stunningly cold yet stunningly beautiful.
