The Alpine Garden is a unique and beautiful place. It is located on the eastern slopes of Mount Washington, at an elevation of over 5,000 feet. The garden is home to a variety of alpine plants, including mountain avens, diapensia, and harebell. Early every summer, they all bloom among the grasses and sedge of the Alpine Garden. It is truly a sight to behold as the tough, little plants that survive in these harsh conditions spring fourth, covering the mountainside in greenery and blossoms.
