Cottongrass is one of the sweetest little plants to grow in high places. Their fuzzy little seed heads bob in the breeze in open bogs and meadows above treeline. I found this patch along the Presidential Range in New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest while hiking the range one August. I could stop and look at them all day, and just had to get them down in art form.
