"Lonesome Lake Bog Bridges," 6x9 inch watercolor and ink on paper
A great way to explore our high northern ponds and swamps is to walk along the many bog bridges on the trail around Lonesome Lake, above Franconia Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Alpine bog plants grow in abundance and clear channels of water run in and out on all sides. I love the way these simple log structures carry you over the surface.
