I love the first bird calls of spring and early summer. The white-throated sparrow's call is one of my favorite signs that warm weather lies ahead. These brave little birds can be heard all around the mountains, calling high and clear in the alpine zone. Labrador tea grows in these high spots as well, making these two a perfect pair.
