"In Carter Notch," framed 4.25x4.25 inch watercolor and ink painting on paper
This painting is available exclusively through Studio 22, located at 22 Portland Street, Fryeburg, Maine. Visit the gallery for this and more of my work.
The Ramparts are a big tumble of rocks at the base of the steep slopes of Carter Notch in New Hampshire's White Mountains. They are labyrinth of boulders, nooks, crannies and caves. A great place to explore and imagine the giant, geological events that created this area. The mountains show their full ruggedness here. I tried to capture that and just the right blue of a perfect summer day.
