Gibbs Brook rambles and tumbles down the slopes of Mount Pierce towards Crawford Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where it eventually joins the Ammonoosuc River on it's way west. I painted this scene after walking up to Gibbs Falls many times in winter. The sunlight, shadow and snow were beautiful to behold.
