"Groundwater Seep," 8x8 inch framed oil on panel painting (SOLD)
There are many springs and seeps along the slopes of Mount Washington on New Hampshire's Presidential Range. Water miraculously comes bubbling up out of the granite despite the high altitude. Sedge, harebells, false hellabore and bunchberry crowd around these wet areas, creating a carpet of green. The water runs cold and clear, right from the mountain's heart.
