This painting is part of Mad River Valley Arts' 11th Annual Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition at the Red Barn Galleries at Lareau Farm on Route 100 in Waitsfield, Vermont through July 28th.

The White Mountains of New Hampshire are full of waterfalls, both grand and tall, and tiny and sparkling. You come upon some of these unexpectedly while crossing rocky, boulder-strewn stream beds. The water falls haphazardly among the rocks and mossy inhabits all possible surfaces. The cool of the air and sound of the falling water is incredibly calming and peaceful.
