"Junco on a Cairn," original watercolor and gouache on paper landscape painting, framed
This painting is available exclusively through the Cassidy Gallery at 28 Main Street in Conway, New Hampshire - click here for details.
By now you know I love cairns (if you don't, you haven't seen my whole series of six mini cairn paintings and other bigger works in which they are featured!). And this piece, too, was inspired by the humble stacks of rocks that mark the way above treeline. The best is when there's a tiny bird perched atop the cairn, assuring you that if a tough little junco like this can make it here, so can you.
- 5.75 x 5.75 inch watercolor and gouache painting
- embellished with flecks of gold enamel in the rocks
- signed by the artist
- matted in ivory white mat in a 10 x 10 x 1.75 inch white shadow box frame
- wired and ready to hang
All paintings framed with glass are packed and shipped with the utmost care. First, a layer of foam-core is affixed over the front of the piece. Cardboard protectors go over each frame corner. Multiple layers of bubble wrap surround the entire painting before the it is sealed in a sturdy box. I mark the package as fragile and make sure my shipper is aware of the delicate contents.
