"Mount Washington from Boott Spur," 11.75x23.5 inch oil painting on panel
Some of my favorite spots are the big alpine flats around the eastern sides of Mount Washington, New England's tallest peak. Boott Spur is just such a place. Alpine flowers and plants, trails, cairns and summits are all around you. I attempted to capture the big sky here with its dramatic clouds and the movement of the weather over a peak that is known for some of the worst weather in the world. The views up here are unparalleled.
Original oil on panel painting, 23.5 x 11.75 inches
Mounted on 1.5-inch deep raw wood cradle
Unframed (since the edges are smooth wood it can be left unframed, or framed to suit your décor)
