Raven over Mount Madison
Ravens are the most wonderful creatures to see in the mountains. Their flight and movement expresses the pure joy of being able to fly high over the peaks, ride the air currents swirling around them, and look down over the wilderness. You see them cruising over all of the Presidential Range and beyond, but it was a thrill for me to see one wheeling around Mount Madison as I stood on the summit of Adams one fine summer day. I had to capture this raven magic in paint.
