Winter up on the Presidential Range is both magical and dangerous. Snow and rime ice sculpted by the wind coats every surface, and peaks even miles away stand out sharp and clear in the cold air. I love this particular view south from around Mount Jefferson, looking into the blue shadows of the Great Gulf with Mount Washington standing sentinel above.
