"Along the Appalachian Trail," framed 8x10 inch oil on panel painting
It's called the Green Tunnel for a reason. Countless miles of the nearly 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail run through forests, the ever-present white blazes marking the way through a solid view of green, gray and brown. I liked the look of this tangled mass of roots with rocks guarding the edge of the trail as I walked a section in New Hampshire one fine day. It seemed especially green and mossy at the time.
