Early morning fog and clouds, swirling around the base of the mountains is of endless fascination to me. Seeing how the air moves masses of moisture in and around the ravines, gullies and valleys of the Presidential Range is mesmerizing. To see a block of valley fog rotate slowly up and around the Great Gulf, with the summit of Mount Washington above, is mountain magic on another level.
