This is Mount Lafayette, star of the Franconia Ridge, as seen from the Appalachian Mountain Club's Greenleaf Hut. This scene is from a visit on a rainy June weekend when spring still had an edge of winter to it, but the deciduous trees were sending out pale green growth regardless.

All paintings framed with glass are packed and shipped with the utmost care. First, a layer of foam-core is affixed over the front of the piece. Multiple layers of bubble wrap surround the entire painting before the it is sealed in a sturdy box. I mark the package as fragile and make sure my shipper is aware of the delicate contents.
