The weather changes in a flash here in New England, and a short afternoon rain shower is not uncommon on some hot summer days. This was the scene along Spring Brook in Wonalancet, New Hampshire after the rain soaked me through on the trail I was hiking. In the blink of an eye the sun was back out, pouring through the dripping leaves and sparkling on this swollen brook and its mossy boulders.
