In the blink of an eye the sun was back out, pouring through the dripping leaves and sparkling on this swollen brook and its mossy boulders. Imagine the quiet sparkle of sunlight through bare trees on fresh-fallen snow. The gentle murmur of a hidden stream that peeks through here and there. Birch, fir and maple mark the edges of the stream.
